Materials & coatings for components in contact with wire

Materials and surfaces for wear resistance, process stability and high wire quality

Materials and coatings play a key role in the performance of components that come into contact with the wire during the wire drawing process. Wire drawing tools, pulleys and wire guides are in direct contact with the wire during production and are subjected to high mechanical stresses, friction and in some cases, abrasive forces.

The selection of suitable materials and coatings affects, among other things:

Depending on the wire material, wire diameter, and process conditions, different materials and coating systems are used.

Here you will find an overview of all the technical specifications of our drawing tools. If you need further information or would like to request custom modifications, please contact us.
