High-gloss polished wire contact surfaces
The surface quality of the wire contact surfaces has a decisive influence on the resulting wire surface. Rough or damaged contact surfaces can cause surface defects on the wire or generate particles that negatively impact the drawing process and downstream processes.
For this reason, the wire contact surfaces of the pulleys are highly polished. The very smooth surfaces reduce friction between the wire and the pulley, minimize abrasion and help ensure a uniform, high-quality wire surface.
